St Augustine's is a Hospital Railway rather like the one at High Royds or Hellingly Hospital. The choice of small hospital railway was made by the ideas researched for on High Royds plus working in a similar Mental Health Hospital. The hospital is freelance but set on Eastern side of Ipswich, Suffolk near to the Ipswich to Felixstowe Railway line. The layout is set just after WWII. This is when many of these railways were still running.
